Dale hard at work....

Here are a couple of pictures of Dale hard at work......on this particular day, he had worked an all-nighter with only a 2 hour nap. He's working on a manifold for a big pulling tractor....and this happens to be made out of phenolic (a super hard kind of plastic). Usually they are milled out of aluminum, and this is the first ever out of phenolic. The second picture includes our machine which is the most expensive of a few we now own....and as of this past week is finally paid off in full! Yeah! Someday, I'll have to do a more extensive blog on all that Dale does. Right now he owns his own business called Forrester Racing Heads....and he mainly does machining and creating of cylinder heads, manifolds, and all kinds of misc. parts for race cars, pulling tractors, etc. He is also a joint owner in Performance Plus Automotive (as of January 2008), which does general auto repair. He does some wrenching, but that is generally left to one of the other guys in the shop.
And now that I have my mornings free, I try to be in the office there as much as possible. We're starting an office pretty much from scratch, so we're awaiting our Verizon DSL this coming week, and then will be setting up the phone, fax, etc. I've been doing stuff like hanging the clock, a coat rack, dry erase boards, creating files for the filing cabinet and running errands. There hasn't been a ton to do until the DSL is working. We're looking for a cheap old full-size fridge for the shop, so if you know of anyone wanting to sell theirs, let me know!
